General Description

Mendocino County is located in the Redwood region of Northwestern California and is endowed with a variety of natural resources including forests, pasture land, and a healthy coastline bustling with several species of fish and plant life. Initiatives to promote sustainability in Mendocino County have created a unique county wide personality. From sustainable logging practices and biodynamic farming to the "buy local" movement, Mendocino County residents are truly on the forefront of integrating environmentalism and social equity with economic success.
