NextGen Network

Integral to MendoFuture's vision to help cultivate a next generation of young leaders committed to MendoFutures's guiding principles. Two members of MendoFutures were called upon to move the vision forward: Jendi Coursey, Administrative Director, Marketing & Communication, Ukiah Valley Medical Center and Cliff Paulin, Attorney at Law.

MendoFutures, NextGen aims to provide young adults with a powerful way to give back. Now is a more important time than ever for young adults to serve their communities. Many of the members of MendoFutures have witnessed first hand the rewarding experience of further advancing our local communities.

MendoFutures began by being dedicated to building economic vitality. Today, MendoFutures is adding a commitment to rejuvenating a sense of civic responsibility and inspire young people to become integral to creating Mendocino County's future. We are in good hands, Mendocino. NextGen targets 24 to 45 year olds, but welcomes those who are young at heart of any age. For more information contact Cliff Paulin at cpaulin@mcn.org.

Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

NextGen 'Greendrinking' gathering at the Ukiah Brewery Company, March 27, 2009

Monthly "Greendrinking" gathering hosted by Ben Provan, Grace Magruder, Cliff Paulin and the Ukiah Brewing Company. This is beginning to become a great method to build MendoFutures awareness amongst young people of Mendocino County. Great discussions and lots of fun, smiles and laughter.

The NextGen group is responsible for developing a role for teens to participate in MendoFuture's mission. Several of us represented MendoFutures at YGen's first "Be the Change" Action Camp in March, 2009.
