Education & Storytelling

Today, despite our increasingly technologically literate society, storytelling still holds a significant place in our culture.

We know Mendocino County has lots of great stories, lots of lessons and advice. So it is not surprising that MendoFutures wants to assure those stories are told, are shared. We have also discovered that people learn faster and do more because storytelling actually accelerates the learning process.

Storytelling is one of the oldest, if not the oldest method of communicating ideas and images. MendoFuture's Education & Storytelling project will hopefully become an interactive narrative experience that will express the vast knowledge and experiences of our citizens to facilitate a sustainable economic climate.

MendoFuture's storytelling is part of how we will translate individual and community experiences towards understanding how Mendocino County citizens can better work together. Heading up this effort is Kate Magruder. For more informtion contact Kate at katemag@pacific.net.
