Getting to Know Us: the MendoFutures Operations Team

Michael A. Kisslinger

Professional Life: Michael Kisslinger is a management consultant, trainer, mediator, facilitator, and coach. Previously, he was Director of Catalyst, a community capacity building program and nonprofit resource center, and Executive Director of Mendocino Dispute Resolution Services (MENDRS).

Community Life: Michael has been involved in our community in myriad ways in the last two decades. He has helped form over two dozen local nonprofits, and has served on the Boards of six of them. He served on Rep. Frank Riggs Health Care Advisory Committee, representing Alternative and Complementary Health Care Providers. He was part of the CommunityWorks Countywide Partnership, the Ad Hoc committee to establish a Human Rights Commission in Mendocino County, and the Safe Havens Violence prevention programs. He served as Chair of both the Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) Title 1 District Advisory Committee, and the UUSD Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) Parent Advisory Committee. He was Chair of the City of Ukiah's Parks, Recreation, and Golf Commission, helped form the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Agricultural Conservation (PROSAC) group, and currently is the Public Member of The Mendocino County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO). He is a member of the California Association of Nonprofits Regional Partners, and sat on their Policy Council. He was also a founding member of The Alliance for Nonprofit Management's Governance Affinity Group.

MendoFutures Life: Michael is part of the MendoFutures facilitation and consultation team, and is a Mentor Facilitator for the MendoFutures Facilitator Pool. Currently, he is serving as the interim coordinator for MendoFutures Communication Initiative.
